Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking a paraeducator to support students who are diploma-bound, assisting with grade-level or above curriculum and providing instructional and classroom management support under the principal’s direction.

The position is part-time (0.688 FTE, 55 hours bi-weekly) with potential for promotion from grade 13 to 14 after six months of probation and required training hours. Flexibility in scheduling is needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• 1 year of experience working with students in structured educational settings preferred.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of and ability to use standard computer tools such as Google Workspace and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate mastery of grade-level or above curriculum under guidance.
• Provide instructional and classroom management support to teachers.
• Assist with clerical tasks and flexible scheduling as needed.
