Beaverton School District 48J seeks a Classroom Nurse for William Walker Elementary (Special Education). The probationary, full-time position runs 8:00am–4:00pm with a 7.5-hour schedule, providing direct nursing care and health services to students who require support.

Under supervision of the district nurse and teachers, you will perform standard nursing duties, coordinate with the student’s case manager, and help ensure safe, meaningful participation in class.

CLASSROOM NURSE

Purpose:

Provides a variety of health related, instructional and clerical services to assure safe and meaningful participation of students who require direct nursing care in school.

Performs work of a recurring nature with established nursing methods, practices and procedures under general supervision of administrator, district school nurse, and/or student’s teacher (case manager).
