Job summary

Cherokee County School District is seeking a Paraprofessional to join the School Operations team. This salaried, non-exempt position follows a 182-day contract with 7.5 hours per day, supporting classroom teachers and students.

Under the supervision of the principal or designee, you will assist with instructional activities, prepare materials, monitor student behavior, and help with IEP-related plans and data collection.

Qualifications

• Education level must follow federal, state and local guidelines.
• Certification as mandated by the Professional Standards Commission.
• Possess and maintain valid license/certificate as may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support learning using prescribed instructional strategies.
• Provide support to students in resource, self-contained, and regular classrooms.
• Assist with IEP, behavior, and healthcare plans.
• Assist with classroom materials, equipment, and displays.
• Supervise students on buses and during school-wide activities.
• Assist with student assessment and data collection.
• Maintain routine recordkeeping and inventory.
• Adhere to safety procedures and school policies.
