Job summary

White County Schools seeks an instructional aide to provide support to students under the direct supervision of a certified teacher. The role involves assisting with instructional activities, preparing materials, and helping manage classroom records.

The aide will work with individual students or small groups, support in scoring tests, and ensure a safe, orderly classroom environment while following district procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required for aides not in Title I, Part A programs.
• Associate's degree or two years of college, or ESSA qualification for Title I Part A programs.
• Ability to assist in reading, writing and math instruction.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well with children.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students under the direction of a certified teacher (small groups or individuals).
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective tests and assignments.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom and manage classroom supplies.
