Job summary

Burnet CISD seeks an instructional aide to support classroom teachers by working with students individually or in small groups. You will help prepare materials, assist with testing, and maintain an orderly classroom.

Ideal candidates have an Associate's degree or higher education credits, and a Texas Educational Aide Certificate or plan to obtain it within 30 days of hire. This role requires effective communication and positive collaboration with staff, students, and the public.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 2 years of college; NCLB assessment acceptable as per Texas requirements.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate (or obtain within 30 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students under the direction of a certified teacher, individually or in small groups.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of tests and assignments.
• Maintain neat and orderly classroom and manage materials.
• Provide orientation to substitute teachers and supervise students during the day.
