ACCEL Schools' Northwest School of the Arts in Cleveland, Ohio is seeking an Instructional Aide to support teachers and promote a positive classroom environment for students.

The role includes assisting with lessons, activities, clerical tasks, technology use, and supervision during school events. Starting hourly pay is $15.50, with benefits such as paid time off, retirement contributions, and additional life and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, two years of college coursework, or the passage of the Paraprofessional's Exam.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI check.
• Ability to meet educational standards as applicable.
• Ability to work well under pressure, and effectively prioritize and execute tasks to meet deadlines consistently.
• Understanding and ability to manage confidential information.
• High quality written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift 25-40 lbs.
• Experience in a school or social services setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support lessons and follow instructional plans.
• Assist in planning classroom activities and parent relations.
• Assist with school activities and events.
• Perform clerical duties, including grading papers and making copies.
• Assist in the use of classroom technology.
• Maintain cleanliness of the classroom and school areas.
• Understand and implement the school's philosophy and mission.
• Other duties as assigned, including field trips and duties.
