Job summary

Anniston City Board of Education is seeking an Instructional Aide to assist teachers by preparing instructional materials, organizing equipment, and supporting students during classroom activities. You will help with small group work, supervise students, and ensure a safe, engaging learning environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, completion of some college coursework, and prior experience with children.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children.
• Two (2) years of college experience preferred. If assigned to a Title I School, also must meet No Child Left Behind Act requirements and Work Key Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare supplies and materials for instruction.
• Lead small group activities per training.
• Create an engaging learning environment for students.
• Assist teachers with adapting curriculum for diverse learners.
• Maintain a clean and orderly classroom.
• Manage computer lab or computer-assisted instruction.
• Support student supervision as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality of records and materials.
• Assist in enforcing classroom rules and maintaining records.
• Assist in assessing student progress and proctor tests.
