Job summary

The Goddard School in Concord, NC is hiring Resource/Floater staff to support multiple classrooms and cover shifts as needed. You will help with transitions, routines, and daily activities while maintaining a safe, engaging environment for children.

We value energetic, dependable team players who communicate well, adapt quickly across age groups, and collaborate with teachers to support children's social, emotional, and developmental growth. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children in licensed childcare preferred.
• CDA or Early Childhood Credential preferred.
• Enrollment in an Early Childhood Education program welcomed.
• Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support classrooms throughout the school as needed, including assisting with coverage, transitions, breaks, and daily classroom routines
• Maintain a positive, safe, and engaging environment for children
• Provide nurturing care and supervision while supporting classroom teachers
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, understanding that each day may look different
• Assist with classroom management, daily activities, and implementation of lesson plans as directed by lead teachers
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with children, families, coworkers, and administration
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with all health and safety standards
• Demonstrate initiative by identifying classroom needs and offering assistance proactively
• Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth through positive interactions
