Job summary

Elwyn seeks a Classroom-Based Behavior Therapist to provide direct behavioral and instructional support in a special education classroom. You will work under the direction of a BCBA/LBS and collaborate with teachers and related service providers to help students access instruction and stay safe throughout the day.

The role offers a 10-month school year with a 7:45a to 3:00p schedule, a pay range of $21-$26 per hour, and benefits including PTO, health coverage, tuition reimbursement, and growth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; BA/BS preferred in related field.
• Experience implementing behavior support with school-age students preferred.
• RBT certification preferred or significant ABA experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 support to students during instructional and behavioral activities.
• Support student engagement, independence, communication, and participation throughout the day.
• Assist with routines, meals, transit, and other classroom settings as needed.
• Implement ABA-based strategies and behavior support plans under supervision.
• Collect data on behavior and skill acquisition using approved systems.
• Collaborate with teachers, BCBA/LBSs, and service providers to ensure consistency.
