Job summary

Elwyn in Pennsylvania is hiring a Classroom-Based Behavior Therapist to provide direct behavioral and instructional support in a special education classroom. You will work under a BCBA/LBS, delivering 1:1 and classroom-wide support to help students access instruction, build skills, and follow behavior support plans.

The role requires working with ABA-based strategies, data collection, and collaboration with teachers and related service providers to ensure safe, effective student programming.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; related degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of ABA-based behavior support experience with school-age students.
• RBT certification preferred or significant ABA experience.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• CPR and crisis intervention training.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 support to students during instructional, behavioral, social and transition activities.
• Support student engagement, independence, communication, and participation throughout the day.
• Assist with routines, meals, and mobility across settings.
• Implement ABA-based strategies and follow BCBA/LBS directions.
• Collect data and share progress with the team; maintain safety and order.
• Collaborate with teachers and related providers to ensure consistent programming.
