Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin seeks an Audio Visual Support Technician in the College of Pharmacy to maintain reliable A/V systems in classrooms and events.

You will provide on-site support, train users, and back up the Video Control Room staff, with opportunities to develop expertise in lecture capture, conferencing, and Crestron devices.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED with 2 years AV/video conferencing experience.
• Proficiency in time management and ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences.
• Ability to handle the rigors of managing multiple, concurrent live meetings that requires a great degree of multi-tasking.

Responsibilities

• Classroom & Conference Room Support: On-site, end-user support for classroom and conference room technology. Training and consultation for faculty/staff/students on A/V systems. Provide backup for the Video Control Room staff and Student Workers during absences or peak workload, ensuring continuity of classroom and event A/V support and troubleshooting. Create/update internal training videos and supplemental materials for classrooms
• AV Support for other Major College Events: On-site support for major college events
• Professional Development: Maintain and continuously develop expertise in classroom technology, including (but not limited to) lecture capture, video conferencing, audio DSP, and control systems
• Other related duties as assigned
