Responsibilities

1. Work with the Classroom Teacher to schedule, complete, and track home visits, conferences, screenings, assessments, and classroom observations.
2. Assist in creating and updating individualized plans with parents and track children's progress.
3. Facilitate classroom activities, including daily routines and field trips, based on standards and policies.
4. Maintain the indoor and outdoor classroom environments and assist in implementing individual education plans.
5. Communicate with families regarding children's development and daily activities.
6. Participate in meal service and promote social and self-help skills.
7. Follow health and safety policies, conduct safety checks, and respond to health needs.
8. Assist with transportation, supervision, and behavioral management of children.
9. Attend staff meetings, trainings, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Possess or be enrolled in a CDA credential or equivalent within one year.
• Some experience in child care preferred.
• Strong communication skills; bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Physical and Other Requirements

Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and lift up to 30 lbs. Frequently exposed to temperature variations and noise. Must complete background checks, health screenings, and certifications in CPR and First Aid.
