Job summary

The Classroom Assistant at FOR EACH 1 REACH 1 MENTORING PROGRAM INC & REACH ACADEMY helps create a safe, positive learning space for students. They work with learners individually and in small groups and assist with classroom organization and daily operations to ensure smooth school-day routines.

Basic requirements include a high school diploma or GED, with preferred associate education coursework and CPR/First Aid certification. Florida Level 2 background screening is required.

Job description

The Classroom Assistant supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment for students enrolled in the private school, homeschool co-op, and hybrid education programs. The Classroom Assistant works closely with students individually and in small groups, assists with classroom organization, supervises students, and helps ensure the daily operation of the classroom runs smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or coursework in education is preferred.
• Experience working with children in a school, childcare, homeschool, or youth program is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Successful Florida Level 2 Background Screening required before employment.
