Job summary

Sylvania is seeking an Aide - Basic to support classroom instruction and student supervision in Utah. This substitute role offers hours as needed, up to about 25 hours per week, with duties under supervision of the teacher.

The aide will assist with activities, reinforce concepts with individuals or small groups, and help maintain materials and records while ensuring safety and organization in the classroom.

Qualifications

• Experience using standard office equipment and software.
• Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to support classroom instructional activities under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist with classroom activities and instructional materials.
• Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Implement instructional programs under teacher supervision.
• Maintain organized work areas and records.
• Monitor students in classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, and lunch areas.
• Communicate student progress to teachers and staff.
• Report safety incidents and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Attend meetings and training related to duties.
• Support teachers with instructional and organizational tasks.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
