Job summary

Ccsdut seeks an Aide – Basic to support classroom instruction by assisting teachers and working with small groups of students. The role involves delivering direct Reading Instruction using scripted lessons and developing positive relationships with students.

The position is approximately 4 hours per day, with duties including maintaining materials, supervising students, and communicating progress to teachers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus job-related coursework.
• Ability to work with small groups and reinforce learning concepts.
• Maintain classroom organization and assist with instructional activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with classroom activities, assignments, and instructional materials under supervision.
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
• Implement instructional programs and lesson plans under teacher supervision.
• Maintain classroom work areas, equipment, and records.
• Monitor students in classrooms, playgrounds, hallways, and lunch areas.
• Communicate with teachers regarding student progress.
• Report incidents involving student behavior or safety concerns.
• Attend meetings and training sessions related to job responsibilities.
• Support teachers with instructional and organizational tasks.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
