Job summary

Horizon Education Centers is seeking a Classroom Aide (Floater) for the Triskett Childcare Center in Cleveland, Ohio. The role is part-time, Monday through Friday, 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, supporting teachers and maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment for children ages 6 weeks to 14 years.

You will assist with supervision, classroom activities, documentation, and meals while covering breaks across multiple classrooms as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to update training and licensing requirements.
• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 40 lbs.
• Ability to pass background checks and screenings.
• Prompt and reliable with a genuine love of children.

Responsibilities

• Care and supervision of children at all times.
• Work independently with a small group and with a team.
• Assist with lesson/activity plans and meals as needed.
• Document services, progress reports, and attendance.
• Maintain adult/child ratios across age groups.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
