Horizon Education Centers in Elyria, OH is seeking a Half-Day Preschool Lead Teacher. You will plan developmentally appropriate activities and foster child growth, family partnerships, and a positive learning environment.

The role requires a CDA, at least Level 3 OCCRRA, and preschool experience. Creative Curriculum familiarity is preferred; regular collaboration with staff is expected.

Qualifications

• A current CDA is required; an associate degree or higher in ECE or a related field is preferred.
• OCCRRA Career Pathway Level at minimum Level 3.
• Experience in a preschool classroom setting is required.
• Creative Curriculum familiarity is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily lesson plans aligned with standards.
• Provide high-quality interactions and learning experiences for preschoolers.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Supervise children at all times and ensure licensing compliance.
• Complete attendance, screenings, assessments, and progress reports.
• Partner with families and provide referrals or resources as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers and center staff to support children and families.
• Assist with classroom operations, including meal service when needed.
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs as required.

This position is ideal for experienced professionals in early childhood education, and childcare settingsLocations Hiring:Dewhurst Childcare Center located in Elyria, OhioPay:$18.00 - $19.00 per hourPay is based on education, experience, and OCCRRA Career Pathway Level.Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:15 a.m.–2:15 p.m.About the Role:As a Half Day Preschool Lead Teacher, you will create a positive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children.
