Job summary

Imperative Logistics Group in Laredo, TX seeks a detail-oriented Export Operations Specialist to support US/Mexico trade classifications and maintain product classifications for customers. You will audit classification protocols, assist international offices, and help with new products entering Mexico; bilingual English/Spanish communication is required.

This role requires ability to read tariff schedules and regulations, and provide customer support for compliance.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Two-year vocational/technical certificate in Import/Export or related field.
• Five years’ work experience in a classification position or related field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain part numbers classifications for all company customers.
• Assist and audit classification protocols for branch and international offices.
• Classification of new products being imported into Mexico.
• Provide assistance in identifying classification issues and implement resolutions.
• Provide customer support for compliance of applicable restrictions for customs clearance.

PreferredFive years’ work experience in a classification position or any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.**LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS:** N*ot required.
