Job summary

Henderson County Schools Central Office in Henderson, KY seeks Classified Substitute workers for a range of roles including secretaries, bookkeepers, childcare, instructional assistants, lunchroom monitors, cooks, custodians, bus drivers, bus monitors and nurses. Starting date is immediate; applications accepted through Jun 30, 2030 11:59 PM CST.

Applicants must complete online application with references, provide a high school diploma or GED, pass TB screening and a criminal background check

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or its equivalent.
• Physical examination/TB risk assessment using the Medical Examination of School Employees Form.
• Crime check (HCS will reimburse the fee for this).
• Drug screening ($20 fee)(This can be reimbursed. See note below.)
• Online Safety Training (free)
• Submit a CAN check from the Cabinet for Health and Family Services stating you are clear to hire and have no findings of substantiated child abuse or neglect. ($10 fee payable only by debit/credit card. See note below.) Fill out form HERE . Please list [e-mail] as the recipient.
• Note: If after one year of service, the substitute accepts and completes 60 sub opportunities, the drug screen and CAN check fees will be reimbursed.

If chosen to be a substitute, you must fulfill the following requirements:

• Application completed online with references listed.

• Once hired you will receive an email with instructions on how to complete your new hire forms online. It will include the checklist below:

  • High school diploma, GED or its equivalent
