Job summary

Nooks is seeking an IT/Cyber Manager to own the site’s IT and cybersecurity end-to-end, reporting to the Senior IT/Cyber Ops Manager. You’ll manage the local team, bridge site operations with the broader Nooks network, and ensure ongoing accreditation readiness for classified environments.

This role requires 8+ years in IT/cyber, 3+ years of people leadership, hands-on incident response, budget governance, and familiarity with RMF, NIST SP 800-53, ICD 503, JSIG, and DAAPM.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT and/or cybersecurity operations.
• 3+ years managing technical teams.
• Experience enforcing IT/security policy in regulated environments.
• Familiarity with RMF, NIST SP 800-53, ICD 503, JSIG, and DAAPM.

Responsibilities

• Own the lifecycle of the site's IT infrastructure (hardware, software, networks) for uptime and configuration management.
• Manage the site IT/Cyber budget and third-party vendors; prioritize investments to reduce risk.
• Troubleshoot during outages, migrations, and peak demand in a hands-on, player-coach mode.
• Establish and enforce security protocols and incident response plans per RMF, NIST, ICD 503, JSIG, DAAPM.
• Lead local response to security events and outages with clear communication to leadership.
• Own the site's accreditation posture and keep authorizations current with the cyber team.
• Directly manage IT and Cyber personnel; set priorities and drive performance management.
• Grow technical and leadership depth to staff new systems as the site scales.
• Model standards, balancing governance with execution; enable customer integration into CIaaS securely.
• Brief executive leadership on site risk, readiness, and remediation in actionable terms.
