Job summary

Nooks is seeking a Security Manager to own site security and act as the site Facility Security Officer (FSO). You will lead security operations, supervise the site security team, and coordinate with government, defense, and industry partners to maintain NISPOM, SCI, and SAP compliance.

This senior role emphasizes risk management, accreditation activities, audits, and strategic security improvements, while mentoring staff and representing Nooks with clients and partners.

Qualifications

• At least 9 years of experience in industrial and physical security with cleared defense work.
• Experience serving as an FSO or in an equivalent role with authority.
• Deep working knowledge of NISPOM, SCI, and SAP requirements.
• Proven people-management, mentoring, and staff development skills.
• Strong executive presence and communication with senior stakeholders.
• Track record of driving process improvements in compliance-heavy settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead site and program security, ensuring full compliance with regulations and policies.
• Oversee security operations to maintain high physical readiness at the site.
• Own security incident response from detection to root-cause resolution.
• Maintain SCIFs and other classified spaces at the site.
• Coordinate DD254s and derive security requirements from contractual documents.
• Mentor the site security team and liaise with partners and clients.
