Job summary

Oak Harbor Freight Lines, Inc. in Newark, CA seeks Class C Pick-Up & Delivery drivers to operate 24–28 ft bobtail trucks, delivering to customers with safe, reliable, courteous service.

We offer a Monday–Friday schedule, home daily, OT after 8 hours, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401K match, PTO, and a driver training program for advancement toward Class A CDL.

We are looking for dependable, safety-minded individuals to join our team as Class C Pick-Up & Delivery / Box Truck Drivers. This position involves operating 24’, 26’, and 28’ bobtail trucks to make pickups and deliveries at customer locations while providing excellent customer service. Drivers handle freight, operate material-handling equipment, complete delivery paperwork, and help maintain safe and efficient operations.

Oak Harbor Freight Lines also offers an internal, paid training program for drivers interested in advancing to a Class A CDL position.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Class C driver's license required.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat or Tank endorsements if required for assigned duties.
• Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience with similar equipment preferred.
• Valid DOT medical certification required.
• No DUI, reckless driving, or positive drug and/or alcohol test within the past 3 years.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other equipment needed to load and unload freight.
• Ability to learn and use the technology needed to perform basic job functions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, dispatch, and management.
• LTL experience preferred.
• Familiarity with the delivery area and ability to use maps preferred.
• Ability to comply with applicable safety regulations and hours-of-service requirements.
• Basic English proficiency (reading, writing, and verbal) required.
