Job summary

Trinity Employment Specialists in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Class B Welder for ASME pressure vessel and boiler fabrication. Pay is $32–$33/hour, with a Monday–Thursday schedule and OT on Fridays/Saturdays as needed. This full-time role supports heavy fabrication and code compliance.

Must read blueprints, pass extensive weld tests, work in all positions, and pass NDT. FCAW/SMAW experience required; GTAW and SAW preferred. Ability to weld carbon, stainless, chrome, and nickel alloys.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to pass weld tests: 6" Sch 80 6G GTAW (TIG) root/hot pass + SMAW fill/cap.
• Experience with FCAW (Flux Core) and SMAW (Stick) required.
• Experience with GTAW (TIG) and/or SAW (Submerged Arc) preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding procedures.
• Proficient with carbon arc gouging and cutting torch; experience with alloys.

Responsibilities

• Weld in multiple positions including overhead, vertical, and horizontal.

Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (OT Friday & Saturday 6:00 a.m. – 2:15 p.m. as needed)

Must-Have Requirements

• 5+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to pass weld tests: 6\" Sch 80 6G GTAW (TIG) root/hot pass + SMAW fill/cap
• 3G FCAW 1/2\" plate
• Experience with FCAW (Flux Core) and SMAW (Stick) required
• Experience with GTAW (TIG) and/or SAW (Submerged Arc) preferred
• Ability to weld in all positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead)
• Ability to pass X-ray and other non-destructive testing (NDT)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding procedures
• Proficient with carbon arc gouging and cutting torch
• Experience working with carbon, stainless, chrome, and nickel alloys

Position Summary

• Perform welding on ASME code pressure vessels and boiler components
• Work with a variety of materials in a heavy fabrication environment
• Ensure all welds meet strict quality, safety, and code requirements
• Support production of waste heat recovery and process equipment

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform FCAW, SMAW, and GTAW welding as required
• Weld in multiple positions including overhead, vertical, and horizontal
• Read and follow blueprints, weld procedures, and shop drawings
• Use carbon arc gouging and cutting torch for prep and repair work
• Inspect welds to ensure compliance with ASME and company standards
• Work with ferrous and non-ferrous materials
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Support additional shop labor tasks as needed
• Meet production schedules and quality expectations

Additional Qualifications

• Experience in pressure vessel, boiler, or heavy industrial fabrication preferred
• SAW experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and weld quality
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Team-oriented with solid communication skills
