Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced welder in Tulsa, OK to join a shop fabricating waste heat recovery equipment. The role requires reading drawings, applying welding procedures, and welding in all positions to ASME Code for carbon, stainless, and alloy materials.

Must pass X-ray and other NDT tests; 5+ years of manufacturing experience is required. Shifts are Monday to Thursday with overtime Friday and Saturday as needed; pay is $34-$36 per hour DOE.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret drawings and welding procedure requirements.
• Perform basic and advanced math functions.
• Ability to layout, cut, fit and tack pressure and non-pressure parts.
• Welding in all positions (Flat, Horizontal, Vertical, Overhead).
• Must pass X-rays and other NDT methods.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and apply welding procedures and drawings.
• Weld components to meet ASME Code and client requirements.
• Set up and maintain jigs/fixtures, ensure proper fit-up and alignment.
• Perform shop labor tasks as needed and comply with safety standards.

Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Days: Monday - Thursday

Hours: 6:00am - 4:30pm, Friday and Saturday overtime as needed 6:00am - 2:15pm

Pay: $34 - 36 DOE

Products: Waste heat recovery equipment designed and built to ASME Code: waste heat and process gas boilers (firetube boilers, watertube boilers), steam drums, economizers, superheaters, Pressure Vessels

WELD TEST(s)

• Welding: 6" Sch 80 6G GTAW Stringer / Hot Pass, SMAW Fill and Cap.
• 3G FCAW 1/2" Plate test
• Fitter Test

REQUIREMENTS

• Read, interpret, and understand drawings and welding procedure requirements.
• Perform basic and advanced math functions.
• Ability to Layout, Cut, Fit and Tack pressure and non-pressure parts. Including but not limited to cylinders, nozzles, tubes, tubesheets, headers, structural components,
• Utilize leveling equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Experience in Flux Core (FCAW), Stick (SMAW), and Tig (GTAW).
• Submerged arc welding a plus but not required.
• Weld in all positions (Flat, Horizontal, Vertical, Overhead).
• Must be able to Pass X-rays and other Non-Destructive testing methods.
• Variety of ferrous and non-ferrous materials: Carbon, Stainless, Chrome, and Nickel Alloys.
• Proficient using Carbon arc gouge and cutting torch.
• All work must meet ASME Code, Company and Client Requirements.
• Perform other shop labor tasks as needed.
• 5 Plus years of experience in a manufacturing setting required.
