Job summary

Airgas in Denver/Commerce City, CO is seeking a Class B Delivery Route Driver to service the Denver Metro area, delivering dry ice with CDL B trucks. The role requires operating a forklift and pallet jack, obtaining customer signatures, and maintaining accurate load counts.

You will perform safety-inspected routes, uphold DOT/OSHA standards, and deliver excellent service while supporting branch operations. Competitive benefits apply after 30 days.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old with CDL experience in last 5 years or certified trucking school in last 12 months.
• 1 year CDL Class A or Class B driving experience (or equivalent military CDL).
• No major violations or suspensions in last 3 years.
• No more than two traffic convictions or one at-fault accident in last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Drive CDL B truck to deliver dry ice to customer locations in Denver Metro/Front Range.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment as needed.
• Obtain customer signature and ensure load matches manifest; collect empty boxes.
• Provide customer service feedback to Branch Manager.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT and company checklists.
• Comply with company policies, safety protocols, and DOT/OSHA requirements.

Airgas is Hiring for a Class B Delivery Route Driver in Commerce City (Denver) Colorado!

We are looking for you!

• Compensation: $28.00/HR

• Referral Bonus: $1000

• Schedule: Monday - Friday (start time is 4AM)Average 40-45 hours per week

• Equipment: CDL B trucks with liftgates will be used

Distribution Branches are located in strategic locations throughout the country to provide service to key industries, including universities and labs. Quality, reliability, and service are the key drivers that enable Airgas to grow with organizations that depend on dry ice and cold shipping supplies.

• Drive truck to deliver dry ice to customer's place of business.

• Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment to load and unload dry ice.

• Obtain customer signature, ensure piece count matches load manifest, and collect empty dry ice boxes to be returned to the plant and/or branch.

• Provide customer service and give feedback from customers to the Branch Manager.

• Perform pre and post trip inspections on trucks according to DOT and company maintenance checklist. Keep the inside of the truck clean.

• Comply with all company policies, safety policies and procedures, and DOT and OSHA requirements

• Secure cargo prior to and during transit

Required Qualifications

• At least 21 yrs old

• Must have 1 year of CDL Class A or Class B driving experience in the last 5 years or be able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.

• Confirmed experience driving in the military with a CDL will also count for the required experience.

• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years

• No serious violation ticket (speeding 15+, reckless driving, etc) in the last 3 years.

• No suspensions of CDL in the last 3 years except for "Failure to pay child support".

• No DUI on the last 7 years.
