Airgas is hiring a Local Delivery Driver (CDL A or B) in Arlington, WA. You will ensure safe delivery operations, perform vehicle inspections, and maintain DOT compliance while meeting customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL Class A or B license with HAZMAT and Airbrake endorsements.
• 1 year of CDL driving in the last 5 years or proof of trucking school completion in the last 12 months.
• Maintain medical card and required endorsements.
• No more than two traffic convictions or related incidents in the last 3 years.
• Ability to work in a drug-free environment and lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance and perform required vehicle inspections.
• Execute timely scheduled and non-scheduled deliveries to meet customer needs.
• Maintain accurate DOT and company records and collect customer payments as needed.
• Provide support to customers on inventory and delivery needs; may require overtime, weekends, and holidays.

• Compensation: $28.50-35.25 (Based on Experience)
• Schedule: Monday - Friday (5 a.m.- 4 p.m.)

This role centers on ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient delivery operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Safety and Vehicle Compliance: Maintaining a safe driving record and appropriate licensing, strict adherence to company safety policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and actively identifying workplace hazards. This also involves performing required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Delivery and Logistics: Loading and unloading service trucks, performing timely scheduled and non-route deliveries to meet customer satisfaction, and ensuring all necessary load documents are accurate and available.
• Administrative Tasks: Promptly and accurately maintaining all required company and DOT records, identifying potential cylinder problems, pulling orders from the warehouse, and collecting and submitting all customer payments.
• General Duties: Providing support to internal and external customers regarding inventory and delivery needs, and being available for occasional mandatory overtime, weekends, and holidays for on-call duty.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL or B CDL with HAZMAT & Airbrake endorsements
• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months
• Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card & endorsements
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years
• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years
• Must be able to work in a drug-free environment
• Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
