Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Class B Delivery Route Driver in Commerce City, CO, starting early with a Monday–Friday schedule. You will deliver dry ice in the Denver Metro area using CDL B trucks, load and unload cargo, and maintain safety and paperwork requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old.
• 1 year CDL Class A or B driving in last 5 years or trucking-school completion in last 12 months.
• Military CDL experience counts toward required experience.
• No more than two traffic convictions in last 3 years; or one conviction and one at-fault accident.
• No serious violation in last 3 years.
• No CDL suspensions in last 3 years except child support.

Responsibilities

• Drive truck to deliver dry ice to customer locations.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
• Obtain customer signature and verify load against manifest.
• Provide customer service and relay feedback to Branch Manager.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and keep truck clean.
• Comply with DOT, OSHA and company safety policies.
• Secure cargo prior to and during transit.

We are looking for you!

• Compensation: $28.00/HR
• Referral Bonus: $1000
• Schedule: Monday - Friday (start time is 4AM) Average 40-45 hours per week
• Equipment: CDL B trucks with liftgates will be used

Distribution Branches are located in strategic locations throughout the country to provide service to key industries, including universities and labs. • Drive truck to deliver dry ice to customer's place of business.
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment to load and unload dry ice.
• Obtain customer signature, ensure piece count matches load manifest, and collect empty dry ice boxes to be returned to the plant and/or branch.
• Provide customer service and give feedback from customers to the Branch Manager.
• Perform pre and post trip inspections on trucks according to DOT and company maintenance checklist. Keep the inside of the truck clean.
• Comply with all company policies, safety policies and procedures, and DOT and OSHA requirements
• Secure cargo prior to and during transit

Are you a MATCH?

Required Qualifications

• At least 21 yrs old
• Must have 1 year of CDL Class A or Class B driving experience in the last 5 years or be able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.
• Confirmed experience driving in the military with a CDL will also count for the required experience.
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years
• No serious violation ticket (speeding 15+, reckless driving, etc) in the last 3 years.
• No suspensions of CDL in the last 3 years except for "Failure to pay child support".
• No DUI on the last 7 years.
