Job summary

American Welding & Gas in Lafayette, IN is seeking a CDL B Delivery Driver to join our team. This role requires Hazmat and Airbrake endorsements (or the ability to obtain), and a clean driving record. You will handle cylinder deliveries, maintain paperwork, and operate company vehicles safely.

Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with home every night. We provide comprehensive benefits, PPE, and company support for endorsements, making AWG a stable and growth‑oriented employer.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL with Hazmat and Airbrake endorsements or ability to obtain both endorsements.
• Clean driving record.
• Able to read and write English.
• Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Back Assessment, and company-administered road test.
• Ability to communicate with customers. Drug-free work environment.

Responsibilities

• Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently.
• Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork, including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets.
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicle.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
