Job summary

American Welding and Gas, Inc. (AWG) is seeking a Class B CDL Delivery Driver to service Harrison, OH and surrounding areas. You will deliver gas and liquid cylinders, load and unload shipments, and maintain accurate paperwork while adhering to SOPs and safety regulations.

Requirements include a Class B CDL with HazMat endorsement, a clean driving record (3+ years), and the ability to lift heavy cylinders. Pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and company road test are mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Class B CDL with HazMat endorsement.
• Clean commercial driving record with 3+ years experience.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Capability to move and lift heavy cylinders (50–75 lbs frequently; 100+ lbs with assistance).
• Completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and company road test.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products and equipment to customers safely and courteously.
• Load, unload, and move cylinders; complete delivery tickets accurately.
• Pick up returns from customer locations.
• Follow SOPs and DOT/OSHA regulations; maintain vehicle cleanliness.

Job description

American Welding and Gas, Inc. ("AWG") has an immediate opportunity for a Class B CDL Delivery Driver in Harrison, OH. This position requires a Class B CDL with HazMat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements.

Responsibilities include loading, unloading, moving, and storing of gas and liquid cylinders and other hard good supplies, making deliveries to customers or other branches, and filling out delivery tickets completely and accurately.

Duties:

• Use company vehicle to deliver products and equipment to customers in a safe and courteous manner.
• Pick up returns at customer place of business.
• Read, understand, and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
• Comply with all DOT + OSHA Regulations.
• Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently.
• Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets.
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicle.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Class B CDL Required with Hazmat Endorsement.
• Clean commercial driving record 3+ years.
• Able to read and write English.
• Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.).
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and company administered road test.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers.
