Job summary

Universal Logistics is hiring a CLASS A Yard Switcher in Tanner, AL. The role runs Sunday through Thursday (3am–11:30am) with potential coverage of other shifts; Monday–Thursday (4pm–12:30am) and Friday (2pm–10:30pm) as needed.

Compensation is $23/hour with benefits after 90 days, including BCBS medical/dental/vision, paid holidays and a 401(k). Requirements include a valid AL Class A CDL, ability to go offsite to fuel, at least 3 months yard switcher or 6 months tractor/trailer experience, and

Qualifications

• Valid AL Class A CDL license.
• Minimum 3 months yard switcher experience or 6 months tractor/trailer experience.
• No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years and no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers and equipment within the yard to prepare for loading/unloading.
• Position trailers to optimize yard flow and access.
• Perform fueling offsite as needed to support operations.
