Job summary

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is seeking a reliable Class A Yard Jockey for our Baltimore facility. The role requires handling yard operations, loading/unloading trailers, and performing safety-inspections on yard trucks.

You will drive straight trucks and tractors up to 53 ft, with a 3rd shift from 5 PM to 5 AM and potential overtime. The ideal candidate has a clean driving record, valid DOT Medical Card, and at least 3 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Class A license with clean driving record and valid DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating straight trucks/tractor trailers up to 53 ft.
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
• Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Touch freight experience.

Responsibilities

• Moving trailers and equipment throughout the yard using a yard truck.
• Position trailers accurately for efficient loading and unloading.
• Load and unload trailers in support of warehouse operations.
• Perform daily safety inspections on yard trucks and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard.
• Communicate with yard and warehouse teams to ensure efficient operations.
• Safely operate straight trucks and tractor trailers (26'-53').
• Heavy lifting REQUIRED!!
