Job summary

American StaffCorp in Broken Arrow, OK is seeking a Class A Fitter/Welder. You will fit and weld carbon steel and stainless steel assemblies, read blueprints, and follow WPS and specs to produce high-quality welds. The role requires extensive welding experience and the ability to pass rigorous MIG, FCAW, and TIG tests.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of welding experience or equivalent training/experience.
• Advanced welding skills in at least 3 processes: GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, SAW.
• Must pass a 3G plate test in MIG/Flux Core.
• Must pass a 6G all-TIG test on 1/2-inch Schedule 160 pipe.
• Knowledge of API, B31.3, UW-51, UW-52, B1.1, and STS.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and fitting experience.
• Ability to pass a written fitter test.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering specifications.

NOW HIRING: CLASS A FITTER / WELDER

Pay: $28–$32 per hour DOE

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fit and weld carbon steel and stainless-steel assemblies
• Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), work instructions, and engineering specifications
• Produce high-quality welds that meet post-weld testing requirements
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Perform layout, setup, fit-up, and joint configuration
• Use measuring equipment, positioners, and pinwheels
• Ensure proper alignment and compliance with mismatch tolerances

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years of related welding experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience
• Advanced welding skills in at least 3 of the following processes: GMAW (MIG), FCAW (Flux Core), SMAW (Stick), GTAW (TIG), SAW (Submerged Arc Welding)
• Must pass a 3G plate test in MIG/Flux Core
• Must pass a 6G all-TIG test on 1/2-inch Schedule 160 pipe
• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including API, B31.3, UW-51, UW-52, B1.1, and STS
• Strong mechanical aptitude and verifiable fitting experience
• Ability to pass a written fitter test

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 70 lbs. unassisted
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the workday
