Summary

The Class A Truck Driver – Precast Concrete position performs a variety of routine and complex transportation work in driving and coordinating transportation plans in support of Lakelands Concrete Products, Inc. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A trucks and trailers in all conditions, including highway travel and off-road job sites.
• Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with company policy and Department of Transportation regulations.
• Maintain accurate driver logbooks in compliance with Hours-of-Service requirements.
• Load, secure, and transport precast concrete products in accordance with load securement regulations.
• Independently secure loads on flatbed trailers without supervision.
• Properly load products onto trailers using a boom crane.
• Follow dispatch instructions, delivery schedules, and routing requirements.
• Perform all duties in compliance with applicable safety, security, and operational standards.
• Inspect product for damage or quality issues.
• Follow jobsite safety protocols.
• Willingness to obtain NCCER crane certification.
• Conduct all work in alignment with Lakelands Concrete Products’ Corporate Values.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED required

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid CDL License and current medical certification required
• NCCER certification preferred

Experience

• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant driving or transportation experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the job duties
• Construction experience preferred
