JOB TITLE: CDL A

DEPARTMENT: Operations

JOB STATUS: Non-Exempt

SHIFT: Monday-Friday, (5am-3pm, 6am-4pm & 8am-6pm)

PAY: $32.00/hr

REPORTS TO: Service Center Manager

Job Summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions is looking for Class A drivers with a passion for customer service and a safety-first mindset. The CDL A position involves route delivery, operating company vehicles to transfer freight safely and efficiently to and from specified locations by designated times. Responsibilities include unloading, sorting, palletizing, and reloading freight manually or with mechanical aid, and completing all required paperwork according to regulations and company policies.

Essential Job Duties

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Deliver and/or pick up freight to/from customer locations and terminals as instructed
• Ensure all shipping documentation is ready for DOT inspection and accompanies shipments
• Load and unload freight onto and off company vehicles, with or without mechanical assistance depending on freight size

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 21 years old
• 1 year of commercial driving experience
• No DUI or DWI in past 3 years
• No more than 3 traffic violations in past 3 years
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain (renewals reimbursable)

Physical Demands

• Ability to frequently enter/exit vehicle cabs
• Ability to maneuver freight weighing up to 2,500 pounds with mechanical aid
• Ability to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for up to 20 feet
• Ability to perform vehicle hooking/unhooking, operate vehicle controls, and perform vehicle maintenance checks
