Job summary

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is hiring a Class A Shuttle Driver in Charlotte, NC. You will deliver compressed gas cylinders to Airgas Branches and customers using a tractor-trailer, with loading/unloading and on‑site safety as priorities.

The role requires a valid CDL A with HazMat and Airbrake endorsements, ability to pass inspections, and a commitment to safe, timely deliveries. A consistent schedule and benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A with HazMat and Airbrake endorsements (or able to obtain within 60 days).
• Maintain valid CDL, medical card and endorsements.
• No more than two traffic convictions in the last 3 years or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders and supplies.
• Deliver safely to Airgas Branches and customers using a tractor-trailer.

As a key representative of Airgas, the delivery driver contributes to the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders to Airgas Branch's and Plants and customers using a company provided Tractor Trailer. This position involves loading, unloading, and returning compressed gas cylinders.

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders & supplies
• Nurture courteous & professional relationships with customers
• Support deliveries in a timely manner
• Safely secure and unsecure cylinders
• Complete deliveries on customer property sites using a hand cart; we emphasize the physically active and hands‑on nature of this position.

Are you a MATCH?

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Class A with HAZMAT (or able to obtain within 60 days from hire date) & Airbrake endorsements
• Maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card & endorsements
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at‑fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at‑fault accident in the last 3 years
• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years
• Must be able to work in a drug‑free environment
• Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.
