DEPARTMENT: Operations
JOB STATUS: Non-Exempt
SHIFT: Monday-Friday, 9am-7pm
PAY: $32.00/hr
REPORTS TO: Service Center Manager

JOB SUMMARY

CrossCountry Freight Solutions is seeking Class A drivers with a passion for customer service and a safety-first mindset to join our dynamic team. The CDL A position involves operating a company vehicle to transfer freight safely and efficiently to and from specified locations by scheduled times. Responsibilities include unloading, sorting, palletizing, and reloading freight manually or with mechanical assistance, and completing all required paperwork per government regulations and company policies.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

1. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
2. Deliver and/or pick up freight to/from customer locations and/or terminals as instructed by dispatch or supervisor.
3. Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and accompanies shipments to delivery points.
4. Load and unload freight onto and off company vehicles at customer locations and terminals, with or without mechanical assistance depending on freight size.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

1. Valid Class A CDL.
2. At least 21 years of age.
3. One year of commercial driving experience.
4. No DUI or DWI in the past 3 years.
5. No more than 3 traffic violations in the past 3 years.
6. Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain; renewals reimbursable.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

1. Frequent entry and exit from the cab of a commercial vehicle.
2. Ability to maneuver freight/pallets weighing up to 2,500 pounds onto a dolly or cart, applying mechanical aid as needed.
3. Ability to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for up to 20 feet.
4. Capability to hook/unhook various commercial vehicle components, operate vehicle controls, climb in/out of vehicles, and perform vehicle checks and fueling.
