Job summary

Clean Harbors, Inc. is seeking an OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator to join our safety-focused team in Memphis, TN. This route runs from Memphis, TN to El Dorado, AR and Baltimore, MD and averages 2500-2600 miles per week.

You will earn a strong average income ($200–$250K per year) with a compensation package that includes on-duty time paid via demurrage and mileage pay. Weekly home time is included for regular rest and family time.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class A CDL.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.
• Proficient with required technology (mobile apps and computer software).

Responsibilities

• Ensures health and safety are the priority and acts safely at all times.
• Operates tractor-trailer units.
• Adheres to weight limits and uses units properly.
• Loads/unloads hazardous and non-hazardous waste; secures loads.
• Placards vehicle per DOT requirements.
• Maintains daily logs, invoicing, time sheets, and trip/inspection reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer units
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, invoicing, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class A CDL
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
• Minium 12 months of Class A driving experience
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
