Sheridan MN, a CJK Group company, (formerly Bang Printing) started out in central Minnesota’s lake area in 1899 as a commercial printer has evolved into one of the nation’s leading short- to mid-run book manufacturers is looking for a Class A or Class B Driver for 2nd shift. Today, Sheridan MN offers a complete book solution that encompasses printing and binding, fulfillment, eBook conversion, eCommerce solutions, and more—all in-house, all at competitive prices.

Sheridan MN is looking to hire an experienced CDL Class A or B driver for our 2nd shift. The driver will prepare and transport raw materials and finished goods between the main plant and the fulfillment warehouse. This is a full time, Monday - Friday position, driving locally, and home every night.

Duties Include

• Operate company-owned and/or leased trucks to facilitate shipping and receiving operations.
• Load truck with raw product at the fulfillment warehouse to transport to the main plant.
• Assist in preparing finished product to be shipped by banding, wrapping, and loading product into truck using a forklift.
• Load truck with finished product at main plant to transport to the fulfillment warehouse.
• Ensure shipping documents and checklist are completed, matching customer requirements and sent to the fulfillment warehouse shipping department in a timely matter.
• Ensure every load being transported is secure.
• Unload truck when needed at main plant, fulfillment warehouse or at customers place of business.
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A/CDL license with Air Brake Endorsement or Valid Class B license.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• Medical card.
• 1 or more year(s) or experience as a truck driver.
• Ability to understand vehicle maintenance and operation.
• Ability to read and understand maps and written instructions – including those dealing with dimensions and quantity.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work overtime and other shifts as required.
• Prompt and reliable attendance required.
  
  

Desired Skills And Abilities

• Forklift certification.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  
  

Physical Requirements

Work is performed in a factory environment with regular exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and physical hazards of machinery, plus some exposure to fumes, oils, lubricants, and chemicals.

• Safety toe shoes are required (company reimbursement available.)
• Walking: Must be able to walk with ease, as some operations require constant walking.
• Standing: Must be able to stand on a concrete floor for varying amounts of time.
• Lifting: Must be able to move/life skids, forms, pallet tops, and boxes up to 60 pounds on a regular basis.
• Stooping/Bending: Must be able to bend downward from the waist, and flex knees, often to get lifts of printed materials and forms from the bottom of pallets from floor height up to waist (or a bit higher).
• Reaching: Must be able to reach outward frequently at full arm extension and downward /upward from 6” to 56” height.
• Sitting: Operation of forklifts and trucks requires continuous sitting.
• Climbing: Must be able to climb on and off forklift and truck.
• Grasping: Must be able to grasp/hold controls for forklift and truck operation.
• Ability to use hand pallet jacks and fork trucks.
