Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services is seeking a Class A Long-Haul Driver to service Large and Small Quantity accounts, transporting medical waste safely and compliantly. You will manage routes, maintain records, and communicate with supervisors to resolve issues.

Overnight shifts (1–2 nights/week) apply based on business needs. Paid training, uniforms provided, competitive health benefits, tuition reimbursement, and PTO after 90 days accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of vehicles including Dry Van 53’ trailers, Roll-Offs, Jockey trucks, and Reefer.
• Complete routine scheduled preventative maintenance across assigned facilities.
• Pick up and transport regulated medical waste safely according to all regulations.
• Review and plan daily schedules using manifests and route sheets.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and communicate issues to supervisors or dispatchers.
