Job summary

Airgas, an Air Liquide Company, seeks a Class A LOCAL Delivery Driver to serve the Phoenix area. You will operate CDL B trucks with liftgates, deliver dry ice, and ensure safe, accurate loads with proper DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• 1 year of CDL driving in last 5 years or proof of trucking school completion within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver dry ice to customers’ places of business.
• Load/unload using forklift, pallet jack, and related equipment.
• Verify piece count and load manifest; collect empty dry ice boxes.
• Provide customer feedback to Branch Manager.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections per DOT and company policy.
• Secure cargo during transit and comply with all safety policies.

Compensation: $26.50/HR

Referral Bonus: $1000

Schedule: Monday -Friday

Route: Serving our neighbors and customers in the Phoenix area.

Equipment: CDL B trucks with liftgates will be used

Job Duties

• Drive truck to deliver dry ice to customer's place of business.
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment to load and unload dry ice.
• Obtain customer signature, ensure piece count matches load manifest, and collect empty dry ice boxes to be returned to the plant and/or branch.
• Provide customer service and give feedback from customers to the Branch Manager.
• Perform pre and post trip inspections on trucks according to DOT and company maintenance checklist. Keep the inside of the truck clean.
• Comply with all company policies, safety policies and procedures, and DOT and OSHA requirements.
• Secure cargo prior to and during transit.

Required Qualifications

• At least 21 yrs old
• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.
• Confirmed experience driving in the military with a CDL will also count for the required experience.
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years.
• No serious violation ticket (speeding 15+, reckless driving, etc) in the last 3 years.
• No suspensions of CDL in the last 3 years except for Failure to pay child support.
• No DUI on the last 7 years.
