Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions (CCFS) is seeking safety-conscious Class A Linehaul Drivers for routes within the Western and Central United States. This role involves transferring freight, hitching/unhitching trailers, and completing required government and company paperwork.

Drivers are home daily with weekends off, enabling a healthy work-life balance. Compensation is earned per mile with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 21 years of age.
• 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• No DUI or DWI in past 3 years.
• No more than 3 traffic violations in past 3 years.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain; renewals reimbursable.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Hook up and haul trailers between locations as instructed by dispatch.
• Ensure shipping documents are ready for DOT inspection and accompany shipments.
• Operate tractor-trailer for extended periods and long distances.

SHIFT: Monday-Friday, (10pm Start)

ROUTE: FLOAT Position - Kansas City to WAK, OMA, DSM, WIC, or PRY

PAY: $0.66/mile (singles) - $0.74/mile (doubles) - + $5,000 sign on bonus

This position requires transferring freight to specified locations in a timely manner, hook and unhook commercial trailers, and complete all paperwork required by government regulations and company procedures/policies. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Hook up and haul trailers between our customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch or immediate supervisor
• Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment to the delivery point
• Operate tractor-trailer combination for extended periods of time, over long distances

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 21 years of age
• 1 year of commercial driving experience
• No DUI’s or DWI’s (in the past 3 years)
• No more than 3 traffic violations (in past 3 years)
• Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain - renewals reimbursable

This position requires successful completion of a pre-employment skills assessment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to frequently enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle. Must be able to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for a distance of up to 20 feet. Must be able to hook and unhook various commercial vehicle combinations, to manually lower and raise landing gear, to operate fifth wheel release levers, to lock and release pintle-hooks, to attach and release safety chains, to open and close cargo doors, to climb into and out of vehicles, and to fuel and check oil/coolant levels of vehicles.
