Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions seeks a safety‑m focused Class A Linehaul Driver for Grand Junction, CO. This role requires transferring freight to designated locations, hooking and unhooking trailers, and completing DOT paperwork to ensure compliance.

Home daily with weekends off, a healthy work‑life balance is provided. The shift runs Monday–Friday, 7pm start, covering routes from Grand Junction to Denver and back (506 miles).

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 21 years of age
• 1 year of commercial driving experience
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain with renewals reimbursable
• Successful completion of pre-employment skills assessment

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Hook up and haul trailers between customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch
• Ensure shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and accompanies shipment to delivery point
• Operate tractor-trailer combination for extended periods and long distances

Job Summary

Essential Job Duties

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Hook up and haul trailers between our customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch or immediate supervisor
• Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment to the delivery point
• Operate tractor-trailer combination for extended periods of time, over long distances

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 21 years of age
• 1 year of commercial driving experience
• No DUI’s or DWI’s (in the past 3 years)
• No more than 3 traffic violations (in past 3 years)
• Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain - renewals reimbursable
• This position requires successful completion of a pre-employment skills assessment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to frequently enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle.
• Must be able to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for a distance of up to 20 feet.
• Must be able to hook and unhook various commercial vehicle combinations, to manually lower and raise landing gear, to operate fifth wheel release levers, to lock and release pintle-hooks, to attach and release safety chains, to open and close cargo doors, to climb into and out of vehicles, and to fuel and check oil/coolant levels of vehicles.
