Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform trailer movement according to prioritization to optimize plant or warehouse efficiencies and production needs
- Hook, unhook and move trucks to and from the service department and around dock area
- Spot or position loaded and unloaded trailers at assigned dock space for unloading or loading
- Connect loaded semitrailers to tractors for the drivers
- Maintain accurate trailer and inventory movement log
- Follow steps to ensure proper operation and perform periodic preventive maintenance including pre and post trip inspections of equipment in the area
- Perform duties required to ensure that assigned area is sanitary and clean
- Wash exterior of trucks and trailers if appropriate for yard location
- Complete sales route deliveries and/or over-the-road routes, as needed
- Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety, DOT, and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity and accidents and injuries
- Attend all driver workshops and training sessions

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Tractor/trailer experience, within the last five years preferred
- Must meet minimum age requirements
- Meet all DOT requirements
- Meet Dairy Farmers of America Motor Vehicle Record requirements
- Certification and/or License - Current CDL (Class A) license in state of residence; current tanker endorsement if needed
