Job summary

Bunzl in Romeoville, IL is hiring a professional driver to operate Class A tractors and other commercial vehicles. You will perform inspections, deliver goods locally and long-distance, and ensure compliance with safety and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities include cargo loading/unloading, maintaining logs, and reporting maintenance needs. A valid CDL, clean driving record, and ability to pass background/drug tests are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record required.
• Ability to operate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and ELD compliance.

Monday-Friday | Pay Rate: $29.50/hr | 1 Overnight Required Monthly

A Day in the Life

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

The Must-Haves

• Valid Class A CDL.
• A clean driving record, based on our fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.

• At least 2 years of Driving experience.
