Job summary

Bunzl Distribution NA is looking for a professional Driver to safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer and deliver goods to customer locations both locally and long-distance. This role requires diligent pre-trip inspections, strict adherence to safety rules, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A CDL.
• Clean driving record per fleet safety standards.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicle.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods to customer locations locally and long-distance.
• Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and timely submissions of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading and ensure secure handling.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Report vehicle issues to management promptly.

Monday-Friday | Pay Rate: $29.50/hr | 1 Overnight Required Monthly

A Day in the Life

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

The Must-Haves

• Valid Class A CDL.
• A clean driving record, based on our fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance

Preferred Requirements

• At least 2 years of Driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.
