Job summary

Bunzl is seeking a Driver in the Romeoville, IL area. You will safely operate commercial vehicles, perform inspections, and deliver goods to customer locations both locally and long-distance.

A Class A CDL and a clean driving record are required, along with the ability to pass background checks and maintain an active medical card. We offer competitive pay at $26 per hour, with a modern fleet and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record.
• Ability to operate and navigate various commercial vehicles.
• Lifting up to 30 pounds and loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug tests, and maintain a medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.

Responsibilities

Monday-Friday | Pay Rate: $26/hr

A Day in the Life

• Safely drive and operate a Class B tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

The Must-Haves

• Valid Class A CDL.
• A clean driving record, based on our fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.

Preferred Requirements

• At least 2 years of Driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.
