Job summary

Bunzl is hiring a Class A CDL Driver to join our team in Oklahoma City. This role is Monday through Friday with a $24 per hour rate and occasional overnight stays with hotel accommodations.

You will service local and long-distance routes, perform safety inspections, and ensure timely delivery to customers. We value drivers as the heart of our business, offering competitive benefits, a strong safety culture, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required and clean driving record.
• Ability to operate and navigate commercial vehicles.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.
• Must pass background check and drug tests; active medical card.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds and perform loading/unloading.
• Strong safety mindset and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods locally and long-distance to customer locations.
• Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and timely logs/paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading and secure items properly.
• Report vehicle issues to management promptly.

A Day in the Life

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

The Must-Haves

• Valid Class A CDL.
• A clean driving record, based on our fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance

Preferred Requirements

• At least 2 years of Driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.
