Job summary

The Driver at Bunzl Distribution NA will transport products in a safe manner following DOT regulations and represent the company with excellent customer service. Start times are early (3am-5am) with the possibility of overnight trips, including hotel accommodations and a $50 per diem for over-the-road travel.

You will drive a Class A tractor-trailer, perform pre-trip inspections, manage loading/unloading, and maintain logs while upholding safety standards and ensuring timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• A clean driving record per fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

Job description

The Driver will transport products in a safe manner and by following proper DOT regulations. Delivers products to customers on time while providing excellent customer service as the face of the company.

• Start time 3am-5am
• 24 per hour
• Occasional Overnights (2-3 a month)
• Hotel will be provided
• $50.00 per diem while over the road

Day in the Life
