Job summary

Bunzl Distribution is seeking a Class A Driver in Iowa with a 5am start time, Monday through Friday, paying $28.75 per hour. You will represent the company with safety and professionalism during customer deliveries.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, timely deliveries, cargo handling, and maintaining logs while upholding DOT and safety standards. The role offers competitive benefits, 401(k) matching, PTO, and access to earned wages before payday.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Clean driving record per fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate multiple commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and load/unload.
• Strong safety practices and driving standards.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Pass background check, drug tests, and maintain medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.

Class A Driver| M-F | 5am Start Time | $28.75/hr.

A Day in the Life

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

The Must-Haves

• Valid Class A CDL.
• A clean driving record, based on our fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance

Preferred Requirements

• At least 2 years of Driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.
