Job summary

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is seeking a driver with a Class A license to operate straight trucks up to 53ft, serving Austin to Houston, TX. You will collect medical waste containers, deliver safely, and maintain strong customer relations in a full-time role.

Expect a Monday–Friday schedule, first shift (5AM–3PM), with benefits from day one and potential overtime. A clean driving record and DOT medical card are required, with at least 3 years of relevant trucking experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A license with clean driving record.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience operating straight trucks/53ft trailers.
• Valid DOT medical card and DOT compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operate straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53ft safely.
• Collect and deliver medical waste containers at customer sites.
• Provide strong customer service and build relationships.
• Meet deliveries on schedule and communicate changes clearly.
• Load and unload; organize truck per schedule.
• Comply with DOT regulations; log hours and inspections.
• Push/pull up to 200 lb cart as needed.
• Demonstrate touch freight experience.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused driver with a Class A license and experience driving large trucks to utilize your experience across Austin to Houston Texas. You will be collecting sharps and medical waste containers from our healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily.

• Operating straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53ft in a safe manner
• Safely collect, deliver and store our medical waste containers at customer locations
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
• Completing deliveries to time schedule and clearly communicating changes
• Loading and unloading and organizing your truck per schedule needs
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
• Pushing/pulling a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs!!
• Class A license with a clean driving record and VALID DOT MEDICAL CARD
• Minimum 3 years experience operating straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53ft
• Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
• Can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
• Proven longevity in past employment
• TOUCH FREIGHT EXPERIENCE!!!
